GOD'S REPLACEMENT FOR THE TITHE
His desire for our lives is prosperity and health.
We need all cylinders in our minds functioning to live it.
This is the renewed mind of the Bible.
He gave the perfect plan and it doesn't include the tithe of the Old Testament.
III John 2 "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health even as thy soul prospereth."
We have every greatest way in heaven and on earth to prosper, none of which has anything to do with the OT tithe.
Most Christians are erroneously taught to follow the OT tithe, far removed from what Jesus Christ accomplished by grace.

He showed us how to prosper by his life.
Old Testament law was the answer during OT times for God's people to pursue the ways of wholeness.
What became obvious was that everyone who tried to follow the letter of the law failed.
Jesus Christ stood in the gap for all of us and fulfilled the OT law for us so we wouldn't have to.
Now, we are under the age of grace with completely different conditions.
Freely we have received everything in Christ. He paid the price. Freely give.
He is the replacement for OT law.
There is not one reference in the NT to any specific percentage of giving.
When a percentage is not found in the New Testament, who are we to suggest otherwise?
Tithing is taught as if our prosperity is dependent upon it.
Not true. God gave us a far better way. He gave His son.
Jesus Christ won our complete salvation, every single blessing.
We connect the dots to live it.
He delivered the formula to have all needs supplied richly and it is NOT the tithe.
We don't give to get. Anyone promoting the tithe for this reason is wrong.
This is a false doctrine and a wrong reason to give.
The tithe has its makings in law to be followed without rational consideration for what is best.
All of our money can have a very constructive purpose. All of our money can be managed with love.
Legalism operates by blind faith. Blind faith leaves little to believe in.
Our giving in any fashion according to the legalism and obligation of OT law is not consistent with the giving of NT grace.
We've received everything freely and we can give everything freely.
Giving works best when it is out of love and not by obligation.
The New Testament message provides perfect prosperity insight.
We sow and we reap.
We can sow everything we love and reap everything we love.
This makes everything we do rewarding.
This is how to have a life filled with love.
This works as a sound formula without percentages and without relying on OT pitfalls.
OT pitfalls include guilt and condemnation we can find to impose on ourselves or others for not giving a certain percentage.
Grace has none of that.
Grace provides the option to focus on what causes true prosperity rather than thinking the tithe is the answer.
Each of us has the power to give 100% of ourselves to fulfilling every promise in the Bible including prosperity.
By grace, we can think beyond percentages.
We can think about the brightest ways to receive more and give more.
Within the family of God, prosperity can and should be a topic all can be talking about and experiencing.
The body of Christ was made for spreading the love.
Talk of the tithe does nothing in that regard.
The mind works like a parachute. It works best when open.
There are two objectives in the New Testament critical to our financial well-being.
First, our cup can be filled to capacity and second, our cup can be filled to overflowing.
Philippians 4:19 says it well for having our cup filled to capacity. "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
Our cup is filled to overflowing when our needs are met and we also have plenty to give.
Ephesians 4:28 "Let him that stole steal no more but rather, let him labor,
working with his hands the thing which is good that he may have to give to him that needeth."
This can be our love motivation for why we work.
We want to do MORE THAN pay the bills.
We want to PROSPER to help others.
This can be our love focus.
God wants our needs filled to capacity.
He also wants us to have the blessing to give because it is more blessed to give than to receive.
It's fun to give, and this should be the motive of every caring and loving Christian.
II Corinthians 9:6 is a perfect conclusion: But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
The great truth of the New Testament is about sowing and reaping. Whatever we love, we can sow, and everything we sow, we can also reap more of ... a perfect formula.
Acts 20:35: I have shewed you all things, how that so laboring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
It was Uncle Harry who said, "Money is the power to bless."
He loved giving and we can too, every greatest cause for God.
Laborers together with Him.
You are loved.
