Speech Seasoned With Grace

Colossians 4:6 - Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
​
We live in the Biblical times of grace.
Ephesians 2:8 ​For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.
​
This is very different from the times of legalism, laws, and mandates of the Old Testament.
​
​Grace speech is remarkably uplifting to those who speak it and remarkably uplifting to those who hear it.
​
Grace speech doesn't spike the football of sin, shame, and guilt.
​
Grace speech is very different. It is heart-warming, positive, and uplifting.
​
It offers a master-class in how to speak with a lifetime of learning, sharing, giving, and loving.
​
Grace is unmerited favor.
​
We are made whole by grace.
​
The benefits are so big, they are a huge enticement in and of themselves.
​
These reasons are the best reasons to adopt the ways of the Heavenly Father and our Lord Jesus Christ.
​
Grace speech accentuates all the benefits given to us by grace.
​
It's every blessing without legalism, laws, or mandates.
​
Grace speech not only improves our speech but it also improves our relationships.
​​
Grace speech appeals to a free-will decision to accept the benefits and loving nature of salvation wholeness.
​​
Everything has been given to us freely.
​​

Grace has two sides. "Freely ye have received, freely give".
​​
​​Our speech can be up to date and optimized by the conversations that best reflect grace.
​​
Spiritually, this time of grace is the greatest time in history to live.
​
This is the time where every victory has been won and every defeat has been beat.
​​
These are the things we should be talking about.

Our speech seasoned with grace gives us more power to win others to Christ and his ways.
​​
Speech seasoned with grace is a blessing to speak and a blessing to hear.
​​
It is the most effective communication of all.
​​
It honors people in their choices to make intelligent decisions seasoned with love, not by compulsion but by love and real-life blessings.
​​

As one great mentor said of grace, "We don't teach people they have to pray. We teach them how to pray to get answers."
​​
We don't teach people they have to read the Bible. We teach them how to read the Bible so they can understand it."
​
Whatever our speech, our speech is sending a message to all who hear.
​
We can represent Christ by what he accomplished for us in grace, or we can misrepresent him by the legalism and unfulfilled standards of the Old Testament.
The Old Testament times do not reflect the victories Christ because all the wins weren't won yet.
Every victory of Christ is now realized by his accomplishment finished in the gospel period.
New Testament grace starts with the book of Acts.

He overcame Old Testament law and legalism so we won't have to.
​
He won everything for us and gave it to us freely.
This is good reason to check our grace speech to know how to communicate effectively to win others to Christ.
